| I have never been much for cats. I grew up with a dog that slept a lot and rolled over when I pushed him. The only thing I really knew about cats is that they are somewhat like dogs, only they're not friendly and they poop in a sandbox. I encountered a kitten once at a friends house. For about 30 minutes it rubbed its bony body against me and made sounds like a small helicopter. I found its vibrations distracting and not "pet-like". But through it's sassy-catting, I found myself being strangely warmed to this small feline. Just recently, I remembered why I enjoy their company. For Christmas break I was left alone in my apt. with one responsibility at hand: watch my friend Tara's cat. The cat's name was "Miss Bennett" (I'm sure Jane Austen didn't have a cat in mind when she named her lead character in the English classic Pride and Prejudice, but then again I'm sure Keira Knightly wasn't ideal either). At first I treated the cat as a responsibility amidst my film and reading binge for the holidays, a 2-week catsitting that required feeding, playing, and occasional petting. After two-weeks of responsibility I now understand how cat's are a man's next best friend. I would choose a dog over a cat, that still is the case, but unlike the film "catwoman", I now give friendly feline's a good rating. If you need a cat-sitter I will check my schedule.

| | Currently Watching Home Alone By Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, Roberts Blossom see related | If Xanga were New York City, and I was Will Smith, then "I am Legend". Is anyone out there? This time of year no one is really around. I am usually in Pennsylvania, sleeping in my parents basement, finding Mickey Mouse toys and gathering old clothes. This last Thanksgiving, I was home and found an Abercrombie Jacket (jackpot). But with being in Springfield this Christmas, I have found it to be a reminder of how long I have been here. It's been 5 years, and after five years I've started viewing Springfield as Purgatory. I am not catholic, but I understand the idea. I have this re-occurring thought that I am stuck here, doing my time. Many have encouraged my stay here, and have looked forward to my academic pursuits. I agree, I just didn't expect this side of paradise to have more churches then gas stations. I know I need to be here though; but like Purgatory, life can be slow before the promise. I'm hoping when Purgatory is done, I will have enough Theological training to know it's not even re al. To AGTS I go. | | |
| I'm gone from Xanga for a while and now its no longer user friendly. Facebook, Myspace, they have taken over, and by golly i have partaken in both. Im sitting at the mudhouse. the dark corner when u walk in to the right. Its saturday night, and some of my friends are at a movie. I just turned the light on. I enjoy nights of nothing. I guess if I was OT, this would be a sabbath. Sundays arent necessarily sabbaths anymore. As long as I have to make plan to do anything, then its work to me. I guess that explains the tiredness of coming back from church, somehow its work. regardless, im enjoying this sabbath. The sabbath that rests in knowing im ok with watching people enter the mudhouse. I forgot to mention, yes, im still in springfield. Its fun ya know. Ive got good friends here. Ones that I wouldnt necessarily give everyday too during the school year, but nonetheless they deserve it. If anything we have lived off eachother. We eat each others food, spend each others money, and enjoy doing it. We have blended are summers in communistic way. How about the reality of school in 50 days. thats a long time. who planned this? theres changes on campus if u didnt know. im sure everyone will be different too. it will have been 4 months for crying out loud. for one, i shaved my head 2 months ago. its growing expiditiously (rapid). I enjoy its length, it doesnt need to be washed or pulled back. plus i can wear my glasses on my face continuously. ummm...Some friends just walked in. "What are u doing?" they asked. i didnt respond, it would have been work. Im pretty happy to report that tommorow I am going to St. Louis. a famous city in the US, but a saints name that probally wishes he was less known. This is really a foreshadowing of whats to come for the 2nd half of my summer. traveling. i love the thought of movement and scenery. There will be re-occuring faces in all the travels but nonetheless i shall be making some memorable trips. The blog previous to this one can explain a certain venture. dont worry friends, the trip will become a documentary. enjoyable for many. Im going to submit this article now, maybe it will make it into the enrichment journal. but when i press submit, its all over. im going to go now, people just sat down next to me and heaven forbid them reading over my shoulder. goodluck saints.
Im on Sarah Chaissons computer. I found this pic. I needed something. Sorry Sarah.

| In each of my friends there is something that only some other friend can fully bring out," Lewis wrote. "By myself I am not large enough to call the whole man into activity; I want other lights than my own to show all his facets. Now that Charles is dead, I shall never again see Ronald's reaction to a specifically Caroline joke. Far from having more of Ronald, having him 'to myself' now that Charles is away, I have less of Ronald. Hence true Friendship is the least jealous of loves. Two friends delight to be joined by a third, and three by a fourth … each bringing out all that is best, wisest, or funniest in all the others."
Friends are a good thing. Yep. | | |
